RichmondBuild - Augusta

Applications for the CSRA RC's building programs are closed until July 2018.

RichmondBuild – Augusta addresses several core issues facing low-income youth today:  education, employment, and leadership development.  Our graduates will gain experience necessary for construction and other related fields. Through helping build new home projects with Turn Back the Block Inc., located in the Harrisburg-West End Community.  

This program is for individuals aged 16-24 who have dropped out of high school and wish to receive GED preparation and construction skills training.  Participation in the program is competitive.  A commitment to active participation in the program is required and those not meeting such commitments may be removed.  Applications are currently being accepted from residents in Augusta-Richmond County who must:

  • Be between the ages of 16-24; and
  • Complete an application (available below) and essay; and
  • Interview with CSRA Regional Commission staff, if selected; then
    • Complete an academic pre-test (TABE)
    • Complete mental toughness
    • Provide all paperwork from the documentation checklist
    • Must attend an orientation meeting
