TEAS: Taking Elder Abuse Seriously
The CSRA Elder Rights Team operating as “Taking Elderly Abuse Seriously (TEAS)” is a multi-disciplinary group that provides the region with a united, coordinated, and consistent presence in the fight to end elder abuse. The focus of the team is education and training for the community at large. The team develops materials that increase the awareness/understanding of elder abuse and promote the team as a valuable community resource. It will continue to provide a unified multi-media campaign utilizing regular appearances in print and television. The Team plans the Annual Elder Rights Conference annually, supports CSRA Coalition of Advocates for the Aging Legislative Breakfast and Post Legislative Session and provides on going elder rights/elder justice system and individual advocacy.
